The Software
Retirement Calculator provides an easy way to answer
important questions that arise when individuals start contemplating
retirement. Such questions involve: "Do I have enough to retire?"
"How much money can I take out of my retirement to live on?" "How
long will the money last?"
Retirement Calculator helps to address those concerns by
allowing you to input various parameters to answer four basic
questions:
- If I have a known amount in my retirement account and
I know how much I want to withdraw from that account each year
to live on, how long will the retirement account last, if I
assume a certain rate of return on the account and a certain
inflation rate?
- If I have a known amount in my retirement account and
I know how many years I want the account to last before it's all
gone, what can the withdrawal amount be, assuming a certain
yearly rate of return on the account and assuming a certain
inflation rate?
- If I know the amount I need to withdraw from the
account to live on each year, and I know how many years I need
to do this yearly withdrawal, how big does the retirement
account need to be at the beginning, assuming a certain rate of
return on the account and a certain yearly inflation rate?
- If I know the amount in my retirement account, and I
know how much I'm going to take out each year and the number of
years I will be doing this as well as the yearly inflation rate,
what does the yearly rate of return on the account need to be?
Retirement Calculator allows you to take inflation into
account for every question it answers. Also, it calculates the
inflation-adjusted withdrawal amount each year. You only need to
specify withdrawal amounts in today's dollars.
